Congratulations to all of those who chased after a coveted Cachemas ornament this year! Will next year be your year? 

Average time to FTF this year was 36.5 minutes, the shortest was Day 11 at 8 minutes, the longest was Day 8 which was just shy of two hours.

As many of you know, Mr. and Mrs. Spongy163 (Harry and Carolyn Halladay) are well-loved and respected long-time SLAGA members and geocachers.  It's with great sadness that Carolyn would like to let their friends in SLAGA know that Harry passed away on Wednesday evening, November 21, 2018.  A memorial gathering is set for Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Jay B. Smith Funeral Home Fenton Chapel, 777 Oakwood Dr., Fenton, MO 63026.  His obituary can be found at https://www.jaybsmith.com/obituaries/Harry-Halladay/#!/Obituary.

 I have been requested to add the following information regarding Harry Halladay's memorial service on Saturday, December 1: Please dress in business casual; it is requested that we do not wear jeans. Additionally, family members will speak, but plan to ask anyone who would like to share their memories to come up as well. This is a great opportunity to share your favorite stories about Harry, so start recollecting and we'll see you there.

New Missouri Reviewer, MrHarmonica

Geocachers in the western half of Missouri may have noticed that there was a new Missouri reviewer publishing their caches -- MrHarmonica. After keeping his identity a secret for almost a year, it was time to reveal himself last month. The New MO Reviewer Reveal Event (GC8782Q) was hosted by neighboring reviewers Iowa Landmark (Iowa), Heartland Cacher (Nebraska), Reviewer Smith (Illinois), and Banjo-Boy (6-year retiring reviewer from St. Louis). Geocachers from all over the state gathered at Cosmo Park in Columbia, Missouri, to play a game of Clue to see if they could solve the mystery. Finally, a team arrived at the correct set of clues -- 1) Geoname starts with an L; 2) Lives in St. Louis; 3) Hides birdhouse caches. Who could that be? L Frank? How could L Frank keep a secret for so long?
After the reveal, L Frank changed into his Volunteer Reviewer shirt, and MrHarmonica handed out souvenir harmonicas to everyone who guessed correctly. Then his fellow reviewers joined him for a Q&A session.
The next time you see L Frank/MrHarmonica, you can congratulate him and ask him a question or two about getting your caches published. Tell him that you knew it was him all along.
